Description:
The Acoustic Solid Transparent is our entry-level product. It is a prime example of our real engineering expertise, where the maximum performance has been obtained from a simple and very elegant design. The heart of the turntable is free from compromise. A heavy 35mm thick aluminum platter runs on our precision-machined "zero tolerance" bearing. This is attached to a plinth made of a 15mm thick piece of acrylic material that has been cleverly shaped to make the feet of the unit integral with the plinth. As well as being visually very attractive, the acrylic plinth is also extremely strong and has excellent resonance damping properties. It therefore provides an ideal inert support for the platter bearing. The platter is string-driven by a high quality synchronous motor. This is housed separately from the plinth in order to stop any residual motor induced vibration from reaching the record. |
